EMOTIONAL PORTALS, to projekt składający się z kolekcji rzeźb oraz reliefów wykonanych na drewnie. Z pomocą odlewów gipsowych tworzę przestrzenne instalacje, które następnie pokrywam tysiącami szklanych koralików o średnicy 2 mm. W ramach tego projektu wykonuję odlewy mojej własnej twarzy, tworząc self-portale czyli autoportrety, a także odlewy twarzy bliskich mi osób, rodziny i przyjaciół. Portrety te stanowią osobiste portale emocjonalne, które pozwalają mi eksplorować relacje międzyludzkie oraz moje własne uczucia i doświadczenia emocjonalne.

EMOTIONAL PORTALS is a project consisting of a collection of sculptures and reliefs made of wood. Using plaster molds, I create spatial installations, which I then cover with thousands of 2mm glass beads. As part of this project, I make casts of my own face, creating self-portals or self-portraits, as well as casts of the faces of close individuals, family, and friends. These portraits serve as personal emotional portals, allowing me to explore interpersonal relationships as well as my own feelings and emotional experiences.

To praca, która łączy w sobie gips, glinę, drewno, szklane koraliki, szkło oraz farby akrylowe.
Centralnym punktem kompozycji są 2 twarze, z których jedna ukazuje głęboki smutek, a druga jest wyrazista, radosna z balonem w ustach. To dwie strony ludzkiej egzystencji, które ukazują temat depresji i maskowania swoich prawdziwych uczuć.

This is a work that combines gypsum, clay, wood, glass beads, glass, and acrylic paints. The central point of the composition consists of 2 faces, one depicting deep sadness, while the other is expressive and joyful with a balloon in its mouth. These are two aspects of human existence, illustrating the theme of depression and masking one’s true feelings.

Portal jest metaforycznym przedstawieniem odwagi i wytrwałości osób transpłciowych w naszym kraju. Inspiracją do wykonania tej pracy, była historia mojego serdecznego kolegi Iwa, któremu jestem bardzo wdzięczna za zaufanie jakim mnie obdarzył.
Journey Portal przedstawia wewnętrzną podróż, w której odwaga i determinacja są kluczowymi elementami w akceptacji i pełnym zrozumieniu własnej tożsamości. Praca ta, jest wyrazem szacunku i wsparcia dla osób transpłciowych.

This composition measures 77×50 cm and is made of wood, glass beads with a diameter of 2mm, gypsum and clay. The whole piece is the result of approximately 130 hours of work.
The portal is a metaphorical representation of the courage and perseverance of transgender individuals in my country. The inspiration for creating this work was the story of my dear friend Iwo, to whom I am very grateful for the trust he bestowed upon me. Journey Portal depicts an inner journey where courage and determination are key elements in accepting and fully understanding one’s identity. This work is an expression of respect and support for transgender individuals

Wykonanie tej pracy zajęło mi ponad 60 godzin. Jest w niej dużo różnych uczuć i myśli, bo przez 10 lat wspólnego życia i znajomości 16 letniej (dokładnie połowa mojego życia) trochę tego się nazbierało.

Po kilku latach pracy nad czaszkami oraz maskami dojrzałam do tego aby zajrzeć w głąb siebie i
stworzyć autopoprtret stworzony z własnych emocji.
Praca ma 60 cm i wykonana jest z drewna, gipsu i ok 45 000 szklanych koralików.
Ponad 100 godzin pracy poświęciłam nie tylko na rzeźbienie i klejenie
ale i zaopiekowaniu się sobą i przyjrzeniu się własnym rozbieganym myślom.
Koraliki mają zaledwie 2 mm średnicy i każdy z nich nakładam na rzeźbę igłą.
Jest to bardzo czasochłonna ale również bardzo satysfakcjonująca praca.

After several years of working on skulls and masks, I felt ready to delve into myself and create a self-portrait made from my own emotions.
The piece is 60 cm in size and is made of wood, gypsum, and approximately 45,000 glass beads. I dedicated over 100 hours of work not only to sculpting and gluing but also to taking care of myself and examining my scattered thoughts.
The beads are only 2 mm in diameter, and I apply each of them to the sculpture with a needle. It is a very time-consuming but also very satisfying job.
